Guild wars' PvP population can't support the addition of more PvP gametypes which would only further divide what little PvP players we have left. Spend time working on the existsing modes in my opinion.

This is kind of like Juggernaut off Halo, and that's one of my more favorite gameplay modes. I'd really like to see something like this, even if it's only for a holiday celebration or something. It'd be great fun!

I have a lot of time waiting for a new Heroes Battles mode when you play the same way but in RA/TA arenas, without capping a thing. If they add that mode, I will never play another PvP mode, just only that, maybe some RA too.

HB in RA/TA arenas is just the perfect causal player PvP. They (arenanet) can use the useless outposts for the zaizen test, one for HB arenas mode, and the other for PvP polymok.

Capture the flag would be fun. But I think Ab should be expanded on with more different maps, e/g Capture the Flag, Siege maps, interesting stuff. Having a 12v12 Siege would be fun.

Hero Chess. Stat 'em up. Make their moves. They fight their own battle.

And that sounds great Solus. I wish there was a sort of less fluffy AB, maybe like a seige one, where the only res is if someone res's you.

That would take very little time and it be so hectic it would be fun.
20 v 20 in the small crystal desert map = Awesome.

They should remove Hero Battles first and then start worrying about real PvP.

Sealed deck is where you get a skill selection from which you make all builds instead of getting to choose your own skills. It's a pretty popular gametype amongst the gwp crowd.

Well, I don't have ANY idea of why ArenaNet do nothing with Hero Battles. The place is obviously broken. The 99.99% of people use the SAME builds.

I think PvP Polymock is more likely than a completely new PvP mode - after all they've already done 1v1 battles, and they already have PvE Polymock, so splicing the two together would presumably (my programming amounts to TrueBasic and Python, so I know next to nothing about network games :P) be less work than coding a whole new PvP game type from the start.

Well, my idea about HB with normal arenas doesn't look really hard to implement, just clone TA in other outpost, and let us enter with heroes.

Dodgeball? Did you mean the Dragon Arena?

I'd also say no to new PVP modes and instead improve on what we have if there was really a choice. Honestly, I'd say that significant changes are behind us and they are more geared towards GW2 rather than Guild Wars.

I bet you look forward to festival arenas, eh?

I'm no PvPer. The only time I PvP is when I get extra faction (which I no longer need, having everything unlocked), extra title points, or when there's a festival arena. I see festival arenas as skill > build, because just about everyone is brought to the same level in those arenas.

I'll suggest an idea I thought I saw earlier in another thread:

Teams (random or picked) would enter battles against each other. In a small amount of time before each match, every player would get a list of skills from which they could choose to use. Teams would have to talk to each other to decide how they wanted to run their builds. After the time is up, the two teams battle.

Actually, now that I think of it, a better idea would be to just have people enter individually, get sorted into small teams, work with each other until they found a build from the list that they wanted to run, and then went with it until they lost.

Basically, TA with your skills given to you...

So it's not really that new...

I tried.

Ab, RA much?

Back to topic:
No. No. No and No.

They introduced 2 new "pee vee pee" modes : AB and HB, which were utter crap. What else could be expected?

Fury sucks and has such a low population it's hilarious. It had potential, but it was mismanaged into a pile of shit. I seriously doubt that's where the majority of PvPers are going. Most I've talked to tried it, quit after a few hours.

On topic, do we really need more scrub arenas? Sealed deck sounds alright, but I doubt it'd ever be implemented. Something terrible out of the blue would be put in instead most likely, HB-style.
